Senator Alvarado-Gil calls for unity, and a proud celebration of America’s values and people

Today, Sen. Alvarado-Gil (R-Jackson) released the following statement to push back against ongoing political division and remind us of the shared values that unite our nation as we approach Fourth of July celebrations:

“The Fourth of July is a time to come together as families and Americans to celebrate the founding principles that make this country great. The day before our nation’s 249th birthday, Sacramento Democrats chose to focus on stoking fear and anger instead of uniting Californians around what makes America worth celebrating. Our nation was built on hard work, freedom, and the belief that every citizen has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. While others try to divide, I choose to honor all that America stands for including our flag, a symbol of this great nation. I’m wishing all of my constituents and their families across Senate District 4 a very safe, joyful, and happy Independence Day.”
